The second edition of Monchengladbach Roller-Days will be held on February 13-15th. This year 4wheelfreestyle team proposes Freestyle Battle, Speed Slalom, Freejump and rollerdance contests. It will be counted as European basic event. Website here / Registration here

Shanghai Slalom Open 2008 (Chn), Dec.19-21

Shanghai Slalom open 2008 will start on Dec. 19th, right after World Slalom Championships, allowing international skaters to join te event. It will be counted as Asian basic event. Presentation of event here / Entry form here

2008 World Slalom Championships (Sin), Dec.13-14th

The 2008 World Championship will be held in Singapore on Dec. 13th and 14th. On schedule : Classic Freestyle Slalom / Speed Slalom / Battle / Jam / freestyle Slide contest. Dakar, Senegal , Dec. 6

A Freestyle Battle contest will be held for the first time in Dakar, Senegal, on December 6th during Accro-Roller Anniversary. This event will be organised by Accro-roller association. for more informations, please contact : babaroller[at]gmail.com

Haining 2008 (Chn), Oct.18-21

The 2008 Asian Championship was held in China, in the city of Haining on October 18th to 21st. Unfortunately due to Asian federation rules, only few skaters were allowed to participate in the slalom contests. Bao Hui (Chn) and Qin Chun Yan (Chn) won men and women freestyle slalom contests. Fu Chao (Chn) and Nan Lifang (Chn) won men and women speed slalom contests.

Anyang Ong + 1st "Battle of Korea", Nov 1-2, 2008

The traditionnal Anyang Ong (= over 30 years old) freestyle slalom competition will be held in Anyang, Korea on November 1st. It will be followed by the 1st "Battle of Korea" on November 2nd. More informations about this event on Joystick6 website.

BATTLE UK III, UK, Oct 11th, 2008

The Last European Main event of the season was held on October11th, in Nottingham, UK

Kiev Fall Freestyle Festival, Ukraine, Oct 4-5th, 2008

The Kiev Fall Freestyle Festival 2008 was held on October 4th & 5th. It was counted as a basic event of the world series. Torneo Freestyle Slalom, Malaga, Spain Oct 4th, 2008

A Freestyle slalom Battle was held in Malaga, at Sports Zone of Huelin", on October 4th. It was organized by "Malagapatina" and counted as a Local event of the world slalom series. A.Almazan (Spa) won the competition in front of J.Teba (Spa) and V.Bermudez (Spa)

Lugdunum Contest, Lyon, France, Sept 28th, 2008

Frozwheels contest, Bangkok, Thailand Sept 20th, 2008

A Freestyle slalom Contest was held in Bangkok, Thailand, in Lumpini park, on September 20th, organized by Frozwheels association. N.Asawatanapudiskul (Tha) won the competition, in front of P.Pinyojarassang (Tha) and S.Teravatin (Tha) finished 3rd.

Streetlife Festival, Munich, Germany, Sept 13-14th, 2008

The Munich freestyle slalom skaters organized for the second time this year a battle competition during Streetlife Festival. R.Op't Veld (Ger) won the men battle final in front of X.Le (Fra) and M.Gurevich (Rus). S.Laffargue (Fra) won the speed slalom final against X.Le and M.Gurevich finished 3rd. Frozwheels contest, Bangkok, Thailand Sept 20th, 2008

A Freestyle slalom Contest will be held in Bangkok, Thailand, in Lumpini park, on September 20th. It will be organized by Frozwheels association and counted as a Local event of the world slalom series.

Chuncheon 2008, Korea's Leisure Games (Kor), Sept. 5-6

Chuncheon organized on Sept.5-6, the biggest 2008 Korean competition, in collaboration with WSSA, and counting as a Main Asian event of the world slalom series. Yu Jin Sung (Kor) won the Style slalom contest in front of Guo Fang (Chn) and Bao Hui (Chn) ; Triple victory for Chen Chen (Chn) who won the women Style slalom in front of C.Seyres (Fra) and N.Grigg (Uk), the speed slalom contest in front of C.Seyres (Fra) and Sin Eun Young (Kor), and the freestyle Battle in front of C.Seyres (Fra) and Jong Jae Won (Kor). Lan Wang Heng (Chn) won the men speed slalom final against Guo Fang (chn), S.Laffargue (Fra) took 3rd place. Battle Warsaw (POL), Aug 23-24th, 2008

The first Battle Warsaw was held on August 23rd and 24th, in Warsaw, Poland. All the team Janarolki did a great work and the event was very good. M.Gurevich (Rus) won the men battle in front of X.Le (Fra) and V.Sinyuchko (Ukr). L.Wardzinska(Pol) won the women battle in front of R.Bugalska(Pol) and V.Denissen (Bel) who won the speed slalom competition in front of R.Bugalska and L.Wardzinska. X.Le won the men's speed slalom final against A.Lawrynowicz (Pol). P.Andrzej (Pol) took 3rd place.

Battle US (USA), Aug 16-17th, 2008

The 2nd Battle US was held on August 16 and 17th, near Seattle, USA, in Marymoor Park, Redmond, WA.
Xuan Le(Fra) won the international battle in front of P.Kunnemann(Ger) and N.Grigg (UK). J.Lacivita (USA) confirm 2007 title and won the national battle again this year in front of M.Mcintosh and D.Palmer. Full results are here. Video of international final is here.

Singapore National Freestyle Championships, Aug. 2008

Clarence Cheung is the new 2008 classic freestyle and speed slalom Singapore Champion since he won both categories during the SNFC, held few weeks ago. His brother, Terence Cheung took second place in both categories. Li Chew Lian and Kwek Zi Yi are female 2008 freestyle and speed champions.

A Freestyle slalom contest was held in Vung Tau, Vietnam on July 20th. This competition is included in the world ranking as Local event.

Hannover Inline Games (Ger), Aug1st-3rd, 2008

The 2nd Inline Games were a great success, more than 60 skaters from 10 countries participated in the different categories, R.Op't Veld (Ger, #5) won his first International Main Battle Event in front of I.Cheremetieff (Fra, #1), L.Ulivieri (Ita, #125) and M.Sloboda (Ger, #14). In the women competition, P.Semenova (Rus, #3) took first place in front of C.Seyres (Fra, #1), F.Violeau (Fra, #16) and L.Wardzinska (Pol, #20).
L.Ulivieri won the men speed slalom contest against I.Cheremetieff, T.Ferrari took 3rd place. F.Violeau won the women speed slalom against C.Seyres, P.Semenova took 3rd place.

Italian Slalom Battle, Frascati (Ita), June 15th, 2008
The 2nd Battle Rome has been held on June 15, at Villa Torlonia, Frascati. This event was organized by Pincio skaters. Luca Ulivieri (Ita) won the battle final in front of S.Laffargue, Xuan Le and T.Ferrari. S.Laffargue (Fra) won the speed slalom contest beating L.Ulivieri in final. T.Ferrari took 3rd place. A classic freestyle slalom competition was held in Singapore on June 8th.

Fun Battle , Munich, Germany, June 7-8th, 2008

The Munich fun Battle was held on June 7th-8th during Streetlife Festival, a big event which gathers about 250.000 visitors 2 times a year in Munich, Germany. M.Gurevich (Rus) won the Speed and Freestyle Battle competitions, beating C.Stelzer (Ger) in the speed final and M.Sloboda (Ger) & A.Stepzac (Ger) in the freestyle final. Beijing Slalom Open (Chn), May 31st-Jun.1st, 2008

The first Asian "Main" event of the season was held during China Sport Show. About 70 competitors took part in the different contests, I.Cheremetieff (Fra) won the men battle in front of Lan Wang Heng, Guo Fang and Liao Jie from China. Chen Chen (Chn) won the women battle in front of Chloe Seyres (Fra) and Meng Yun (Chn). Same podium in the women freestyle individual contest. In the men individual competition, Guo Fang was ranked 1st, in front of Lan Wang Heng and Bao Hui (Chn).
Lan Wang Heng won the speed slalom competition, beating Fu Chao in the final, Guo Fang took 3rd place beating S.Laffargue in 3rd place final. C.Seyres won the women speed slalom against Ye Run Shi (Chn), Chen Chen finished 3rd.

This Russian cup event has been cut by rain and speed slalom contest has been cancelled. In Classic Freestyle slalom, Y.Alexeev (Rus) took 1st place, in front of D.Korotkih (Rus) and A.Rychkov (Rus). ASPO spring festival, Okayama, Japan, May 4th, 2008

The ASPO spring festival was held on May 4th. Two competitions were on the program : classic freestyle slalom and trick slalom, Masayoshi Shibagaki won the two contests in front of Katsuaki Kato and Takaaki abo in freestyle and in front of Kei Suwabe and team H3 in trick slalom.

The European "Major" event of the season was a big success, Igor Cheremetieff (FRA) kept his title by winning the battle final against R.Op't Veld (GER), T.Ferrari (ITA) and K.Ryazantsev (RUS) . Radio One X-Trem Games, Mauritius

A Freestyle Battle and Speed Slalom local contest was held on April 19th, in Trianon, Mauritius, during Radio One X-Trem games. Doger L'Ingenue (Mau) won the freestyle slalom battle final against Johann Constantin (Mau) and Ajagen Coolen (Mau). Jerome Donzelo (Fra) finished 4th. Nicolas Constantin won the speed slalom against Johann Constantin, D.L'Ingenue finished 3rd. Charles Bouillaud won the freestyle and speed junior category.

Ariel Speed Addicts, Israel

This local speed slalom competition has been won by Oleg Stasuk (Isr) who beated Alon Robotnik (Isr) in the final. Schlomi Zairov (Isr) took 3rd place beating his brother Alex Zairov (Isr) in the battle for 3rd place . With this competition, Israel skaters will enter the world ranking of April.

Haikou Invitational Slalom Competition

The first Chinese local event of the season was held on April 5th, in Haikou, Hainan province. Full results are now available here.

Hikarigaoka Cup 2008 (Jap), May 18th, 2008
This event (basic) will be held at Keyaki (Zelkova serrata) place in Hikarigaoka Park, Nerima-ku, Tokyo, and will start at 8:15. If the weather is bad, the event will be postponed on June 1st. More informations and contact on JISSA website.

Roller Challenge Namur Cancelled !

Due to sponsors and funding problems, the competition scheduled on March 30th in Namur, Belgium, is cancelled. the organisation is planning to postpone the event to 2009.
